Widgets That Keep Your Habits In View All Day

The best habit tracker is the one you don't have to open. Here's how to set up Fitbit Kit widgets on iOS and Android for glance-and-go tracking.

Opening an app is friction, and friction is where habits go to die. Fitbit Kit's home-screen widgets remove that step entirely — your grids sit on your home screen, updating as your watch syncs.

Pick the right size

  • Small: one habit, one grid. Perfect for your single most important streak.
  • Medium: two grids side by side — say, steps and sleep.
  • Large: a full wall for people who want the whole routine in one glance.

Set it up on iOS

Long-press the home screen, tap the plus, search for Fitbit Kit, and choose a size. Then long-press the placed widget to pick which habit it shows. Auto habits update on their own; for manual habits you can tap a cell right from the widget to mark today complete.

Set it up on Android

Long-press the home screen, choose Widgets, find Fitbit Kit, and drag your size onto the screen. If your phone is aggressive about background limits, exclude Fitbit Kit from battery optimization so widgets refresh on schedule.

Put your grids where your eyes already go — the lock screen glance, the home screen scroll — and consistency stops depending on memory.

Start your first grid today.

Fitbit Kit is free on iOS and Android. Connect your watch and watch the squares fill in.
