Everything You Might Ask.
Quick answers for syncing, billing, platform changes, widgets, and daily usage in Fitbit Kit.
How does Fitbit Kit get my Fitbit data?
Fitbit Kit reads from Health Connect on Android (and Apple Health on iOS). Once your Fitbit or Pixel Watch app writes steps, sleep, and workouts into that shared health store, Fitbit Kit picks them up and fills the matching habit grids automatically. You grant read access per data type, so you stay in control of exactly what Fitbit Kit sees.
Which data types can auto-fill a grid?
Steps, distance, active minutes, sleep duration, heart-rate zones, and logged workouts are supported today. You choose which metric powers each auto habit and set the daily or weekly target that counts as complete.
Do I need a Fitbit to use Fitbit Kit?
No. Fitbit Kit works fully as a manual habit tracker — reading, water, meditation, anything. Wearable sync is a bonus that removes the friction of logging movement, sleep, and exercise if you happen to own a compatible device.
My steps aren't showing up. What should I check?
Confirm the Fitbit or Pixel Watch app is syncing to Health Connect (or Apple Health), then open Fitbit Kit's connection settings and make sure read permission for that data type is granted. A manual pull-to-refresh forces an immediate re-sync; otherwise Fitbit Kit refreshes a few times a day in the background.
